Kromek Demonstration 2023
At the 18th of December PEO organized a demonstration in association with Kromek. This Demo took place at the fire station in Amstelveen. Two specialists from Kromek came to present and demonstrate two different devices, the D5 RIID and the D3S.
Customers had the chance to test these two devices with active sources, including the fire fighters, customs and special forces.
The D5 RIID is a radioisotope detection device in a wearable package that mostly is used by military, homeland security and industrial personnel. It continuously scans and accurately identifies radiological threats in real time, even in mixed source environments.
The D3S is a device that replaces the PRD personal radiation detectors, SPRD spectroscopic personal radiation detectors and the RIID radioisotope identification device. So this shows that the D3S is one of the most flexible and cost-effective radiation detection solutions that is available at this moment.
