RIVM chooses Saphymo GammaTRACER XL2-3 gamma monitoring network

Saphymo got awarded with a contract for the renewal of the RIVM Dutch national Gamma monitoring network (NMR)with 190 GammaTRACER XL2-3 installations.

Within this contract 190 fixed installed monitoring stations and 10 mobile stations will be delivered.
All stations will include the newly developed rain sensor, which is able to give quantitative information on the detected rainfall. Data transmission is performed by Ethernet/DSL for the fixed stations and GPRS for the mobile stations.

One reason for the selection of Saphymo was the flexible connectivity of the probes, specially the use of the TCP/IP protocol, even for the low power mobile probes. Also related to quality and cost the Saphymo offer was considered the best solution.
