PRESS RELEASE: Dutch Defence (EOD) opts for X-ray imaging systems from PEO security
WIJCHEN – The Dutch Ministry of Defence chooses PEO security as their supplier for the replacement of its portable X-ray imaging systems for explosive detection. The American manufacturer from PEO security LOGOS IMAGING LLC. produces high resolution detection systems based on portable Golden Engineering X-ray sources. The updated systems make it possible to make the contents of suspicious suitcases, mail items or packages directly on the spot visible. The systems are deployed on foreign expeditions. For the Ministry of Defense, this means a step forward in the modernization of explosion detection.
Risk mitigation and directly on site with X-ray
Thanks to X-rays in combination with high resolution imaging systems, the contents of a package or item are immediately visible. The EOD immediately assesses whether a suitcase is potentially dangerous. A great advantage is that no specialist has to open a potentially dangerous package to identify the content, which increases the safety of staff. This considerably speeds up the process of identifying the contents of a package.
