Jan Faber (Field service engineer | Radiation expert) visited the Amsterdam Medical Center for periodic maintenance. The Ludlum Model 375 radiation detection system was maintained in the ‘waste basement’ of the hospital. A sensitivity test has also been performed. The purpose of the maintenance is to guarantee the safety of storing and processing radioactive medical waste.

Model 375/1 Digital Area Monitor
The Model 375/1 Digital Area Monitor (Ludlum) is a wall-mount clearly visible device to monitor radiation in the surrounding area. This monitor includes an internally housed eighteen mm CsI scintillator with a sensitivity of approximately 120 cpm/µR/hr.
