PEO announces the brand new Tracerco intrinsically safe NORM monitor-IS for measuring naturally occurring radioactive material

Tracerco has added the NORM (naturally occurring radioactive material) monitor-IS to its range of monitors. Developed on the proven (award winning) platform of the Tracerco T201 Radiation Contamination Monitor.

The NORM Monitor-IS is a robust intrinsically safe dual probe instrument and is specifically designed to enable the measurement of a wide range NORM isotopes under most environmental conditions. Imperative when working in hazardous areas such as in Oil and Gas production.

The intrinsically safe monitor has 2 probes, this brings benefits:

• scintillation probe
  • robust and suitable for use in challenging conditions
  • undertake surveys of external walls for internal deposits of NORM
  • measure NORM in low diameter tubular internals (360 degree response)
• Geiger Muller (GM) probe
  • perfect for alpha and beta measurement
  • high sensitivity to Lead-210 NORM
  • Bq/cm2 output for typical NORM isotopes Scintillator: CPS, μSv/h, GM: CPS, Bq/cm2.
