In this article we discuss when, why and how to use portable X-ray systems. Furthermore, we will describe three portable X-ray solutions from Logos Imaging LLC.
When to use portable X-ray detection solutions?
Why using portable X-ray detection solutions?
The starting point is to have as few people as possible involved in this threat identification process. Fortunately, today’s X-ray technology offers great opportunities in inspecting the contents of a suspicious package, fast, remotely and even at a safe distance. That’s where portable X-ray flat panel systems from Logos Imaging come to play.
How to use portable X-ray from Logos Imaging?
The systems from Logos Imaging are equipped with a high quality Golden Engineering X-ray source. The source and flat panel operate wireless, but cabled is also possible. The panels contain a long high capacity dispensable battery, are free of shattering glass (amorphous silicon TFT), are shockproof, withstand a 1 meter drop and are IP certified (up to IP67).
Connecting the flat panel and X-ray source is easy, thanks to the laptop/tablet PC, which is equipped with ingenious easy-to-use software (watch the below video for video instructions). When connected, a high resolution X-ray image is being made within a couple of seconds. Make sure you and your security personnel are at a safe distance when taking the X-ray image. Exposure to ionizing radiation is a risk to human health.

Who uses – or could use – portable X-ray detection systems?
The flat panel systems from Logos Imaging are developed for Defense (EOD), military expeditions, Customs and homeland security purposes. The systems are very suitable for the detection of common threats like Improvised Explosive Devices (IED).
